BIENNALE DELLA FOTOGRAFIA FEMMINILE

In March 2022, Mantua will host the second edition of the Biennale of Female Photography, created by the association La Papessa (www.lapapessa.org) and with the artistic direction of Alessia Locatelli.

 A unique event that from March 3rd through the 27th will bring to the city Italian and international photographers, guided visits, talks, portfolio reviews, and workshops with reknown female photographers, film screenings and other collateral events.

 The idea is to present projects and encounters in the field of photography, meditating on themes that characterize our contemporary times, seen through the eyes of women in their multiple declinations, to obtain a new consciousness on the role of female figures and concretely help to pursue a principle of equality and equal opportunities that, according to our Constitution, must be present in daily life.
